AI isn't magic. Watch it think.

This is how a language model reads a sentence.

Learn how it works

First the mystery goes. You'll see what a model actually does with your words, what it's good at, and where it trips.

02

Use it effectively

Then you put it to work. You'll build the habit of asking for exactly what you need and judging what comes back.

03

Build with it

Finally you make it yours. You'll fold AI into your own projects and end up with workflows you reach for every day.

Useful knowledge should stay open.

AI showed up while everyone was busy, and now it's all anyone talks about. Admitting you don't get it yet feels scary, and most guides make it worse: they're written for people who already know. You want to start, and you don't know how.

Who built this

This course was built by the whole team at Remote.com. Yes, everyone: HR, Operations, CX, Sales, Legal, etc., built a part of it, on their own. We're also around 2000 people, fully distributed around the world.

Why did we do it

To create Remote, we had to build a global payroll infrastructure covering 140+ countries across legal, tax, and operations. There was no shortcut: we had to build it from the ground up and make it simple enough for anyone to use or build on. AI is foundational to how we work now. We trained everyone, from engineers to payroll specialists, and learned firsthand how hard it is to keep up with what ships every day, even for a tech-forward company.

This is how we got there.

Good questions

Before you begin.

Wondering whether this is for you? It is.

Do I need a technical background?

No. Every new idea is explained in plain language; if you can use a browser, you can start.

Is it okay that I know nothing yet?

That's the reader every lesson is written for. Part one assumes nothing and builds from there.

Is it really free?

Yes. The whole program is free, no tradeoffs.

What if life gets busy?

Your place is saved. Come back whenever and the next lesson is waiting.

What will I be able to make?

Real workflows: sharper prompts, faster research, and AI habits you'll rely on every day.

Your first lesson is ready

One lesson is enough to begin.

You don't need to feel ready. The first lesson meets you where you are.
